Birmingham City FC Re-Sign Craig Gardner

The West Bromwich Albion midfielder has moved back to Birmingham City on loan with a view to moving permanently. Looking at a three-year deal being completed at the end of this season, the talented 30-year-old player had previously spent 18 months with the Blues when he joined them from Aston Villa in 2010. He left for Sunderland after being part of the team that won the 2011 League Cup.

Albion manager, Tony Pulis, had this to say of the move: “Craig has done a great job for me and we were certainly not in any hurry to see him leave. But he is desperate to play first team football, which I could not guarantee, and this is a terrific opportunity for him at Birmingham City.”
