Mike Calvin Wins Sports Book Award for Co-Writing ‘No Nonsense’, Joey Barton’s Autobiography

Congratulations to Mike Calvin, who this week won the coveted Cross Autobiography of the Year Award for No Nonsense, which he co-wrote with Joey Barton. The latter’s autobiography, the book battled it out against six others for the Sports Book Award win!


This year was the 15th Cross Sports Book Awards, which took place at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Hosted by Mike Wedderburn, the Sky Sports News presenter, and Test Match Special’s Alison Mitchell, the panel of judges this year included Brian Moore (former England rugby player), Dame Katherine Grainger (Olympic rowing gold medallist), Paul Nicholls (champion jockey trainer), Guillem Balague (Sky Sports La Liga pundit), Alison Kervin (Mail on Sunday sports editor) and Nick Compton (Middlesex and England cricketer).
