About the Job:
To support the royalty department by completing the administration functions required primarily in relation to the incoming client royalty reporting sent to the company and other administrative tasks across client engagements, society registrations and ad hoc client and departmental admin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Download client royalty statements from Music company portals In a timely manner
- Monitor central email address for any client reporting emailed to YMU Business Management
- Liaise with client Business Managers and Accountants to ensure payment is made for all payable balances
- Reviewing statements received to ensure all company details are up-to-date and correct
- Maintain a tracking schedule of statements received
- Registering clients with relevant collection societies as required (PRS/MCPS/PPL/SoundExchange/BMI/ASCAP etc…) and ensuring YMU are included as client representative with those societies
- Updating banking mandates, self-billing agreements and specific client administration, as required
- Assist with adhoc royalties queries and projects as required
About you:
- Administration experience (preferable in royalties although not essential)
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Highly motivated
- Experience in providing and understanding reports
- Experience in using Excel in order to present statement and royalty data
- Exceptional attention to detail
- An understanding of the music Industry, royalties and music contracts is preferred but not essential
