Catherine Woods

Cate Woods is a writer, editor and award-winning journalist.

As a ghostwriter, she has worked on projects including Jo Wood’s autobiography /Hey Jo: A Rock and Roll Fairytale/, the memoir of miner-turned-make-up artist Gary Cockerill, /From Coal Dust to Stardust/, and a fashion and beauty book for Katie Price, as well as other celebrity fiction. She worked with Mary Berry on her autobiography, which was published in September 2013.

Catherine made the most of her degree in Anglo-Saxon Literature by starting her career in television, making tea on shows including ‘The Big Breakfast’, ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’, and ‘French & Saunders’. After narrowly missing out on the chance to become a Channel 5 weather girl she moved into journalism, where she interviewed every famous John from Prescott to Bon Jovi, ghostwrote weekly magazine columns for Coleen Rooney and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and enjoyed a very brief stint as half of Closer magazine’s gossip columnist duo, “Mr & Mrs Showbiz”.

She lives in London and still has a keen interest in meteorology.

Catherine writes fiction under Cate Woods. Her novel, /Just Haven’t Met You Yet/ is being published by Quercus in February 2016.
