Kevin Brooks writes crime fiction for adults and novels for/about teenagers.
His books are published worldwide and he’s won numerous awards for his writing, including the German Youth Literature Award (twice), the Branford Boase Award, the Canongate Prize for New Writing, the North East Book Award, the Angus Award (twice), and the Buxtehude Bulle. He’s written ten Young Adult novels, four shorter books for teenagers, and two adult crime novels, both featuring the private detective John Craine.
Before becoming a full-time author, Kevin did too many things to mention and lived in too many places to remember. He now lives in North Yorkshire with his wife Susan and a bunch of animals.
