Laetitia Maklouf

Laetitia discovered gardening after finding a packet of seeds at the bottom of a Christmas stocking.

She planted them and to her astonishment, they grew. She quit her job and began studying horticulture and plantsmanship at The English Gardening School, and then she wrote the book that she wished she had had when she began.

The Virgin Gardener(Bloomsbury 2009) is a plant ‘recipe book’ full of fun projects for gardening newbies, and her second book, Sweet Peas for Summer(Bloomsbury 2012) explains how she created a garden from a bare patch of land in eight weeks.

Laetitia lives in London with her husband and small daughter.
