Leigh Francis


Leigh’s career took off after his first TV appearance on Channel 4's ‘Take Over TV’ when his comic talent was snapped up by The Paramount Comedy Channel.

A nomination for Best Newcomer at The British Comedy Awards and three series of the hilarious Channel 4 sketch show Bo Selecta followed and at the end of 2005, Avid Merrion went to Hollywood for Bo in the USA.


Leigh introduced Keith Lemon in 2007 via Keith Lemon’s Very Brilliant World Tour, a comedy travel series for ITV2. This lead to the birth of the massive hit show Celebrity Juice which continues to run. He brought mayhem to ITV1 when Keith took the helm of Through The Keyhole, which returned to our screens in 2013 and continues to be a huge hit to date. He fulfilled a lifetime ambition in 2012 when Keith Lemon: The Film (which he co-wrote and starred in) was released in cinemas across the UK and was a box office success.


He is also a successful published author, having written Being Keith, Little Keith and The Rules as well as a series of children’s novels called The Beaver & The Elephant.


Leigh won his first BAFTA Award this year for Best Entertainment Performance for Celebrity Juice an award-winning show that is now in its 16th series on ITV2.


He published his memoir, Being Keith, in 2012, and Little Keith, which focuses on his childhood and early years, was published in 2014. Keith Lemon’s Big One was subsequently published in 2015.


His children’s book The Beaver & The Elephant was published by Orion on 23rd October 2014.
