Mike Bullen


Mike Bullen is best known as the creator of the hit TV series, ‘Cold Feet’, starring James Nesbitt and Helen Baxendale.

‘Cold Feet’ ran for 5 series in the UK and sold to more than 30 countries worldwide. Among the many awards it won were a BAFTA (for Best TV Drama Series) and the Rose D’Or (Europe’s top TV award). Other shows Mike has created include ‘Life Begins’, starring Caroline Quentin and Alexander Armstrong, and ‘Sunburn’, starring Michelle Collins. He has also worked in the U.S., writing scripts for NBC television and the film studio, Dreamworks. In 2003, Mike was named Writer of the Year at the UK TV Comedy Awards.


Prior to his career in television, Mike was a radio presenter and producer, working primarily for the BBC World Service. He won a Sony Gold Award for his current affairs documentary series, ‘Stormclouds Over The Himalayas’.


Mike lives with his wife and their two teenage daughters, dividing his time between Sydney, Australia and Bath in the UK.


Mike’s first novel, Trust, was published by Little, Brown in 2016.
