Biography

Actor, comedian, and narrator John Thomson has enjoyed a broadcasting career that has spanned over four decades.

John began his career voicing the puppets on Spitting Image. He is well known for his sketches in the nineties hit comedy programme The Fast Show.

John’s other credits include 24-Hour Party People, Flat Slags, Wallace & Gromit, and the Curse of the Were Rabbit, leading to being recognised with a Legend of the Industry award from the Variety Club of Great Britain. He is best known for his portrayal of Pete Gifford in nine series of the hit ITV show Cold Feet, receiving awards from mental health charities Mind and Kaleidoscope.

Most recently, John featured as Bushbaby in ITV’s primetime hit Saturday night show, The Masked Singer.
