Leigh Francis


Leigh’s career took off after his first TV appearance on Channel 4′s ‘Take Over TV’ when his comic talent was snapped up by The Paramount Comedy Channel.

He began developing characters and staging meetings in various guises that lead to his own show on ‘Play UK’.A nomination for Best Newcomer at The British Comedy Awards and three series of the hilarious Channel 4 sketch show Bo Selecta followed and at the end of 2005, Avid Merrion went to Hollywood for Bo in the USA.


Leigh introduced Keith Lemon in 2007 via Keith Lemon’s Very Brilliant World Tour, a comedy travel series for ITV2. This led to the birth of the massive hit show Celebrity Juice, which continues to run and is now in its 19th series on ITV2. He brought mayhem to ITV1 when Keith took the helm of Through The Keyhole, which returned to our screens in 2013 and continues to be a huge hit to date. He fulfilled a lifetime ambition in 2012 when Keith Lemon: The Film (which he co-wrote and starred in) was released in cinemas across the UK and was a box office success.


He is also a successful published author, having written ‘Being Keith, Little Keith’ and ‘The Rules’ as well as a series of children’s novels called ‘The Beaver & The Elephant’.


Leigh won his first BAFTA Award in 2016 for Best Entertainment Performance for Celebrity Juice. The second series of Keith and Paddy’s Picture Show returns this spring to ITV.
