Vernon Kay’s 1000 Heartbeats

Vernon Kay's new ITV game show 1000 Heartbeats starts at 4pm today on ITV.

The brand new format sees contestants compete against the clock – which is 1000 of their own heartbeats – to try and win a jackpot of £25,000

Players will each start the game with 1000 heartbeats. As they play each of the seven rounds, their heart rate is measured: every single beat of their heart makes one of their 1000 heartbeats disappear. The aim of the game is to answer questions and accummulate as much of the big cash jackpot as their 1000 heartbeats will allow. They need to stay calm under pressure to win big as if a player runs out of heartbeats, their game is over.

Despite being only in it’s first week it’s already developed something of a cult following.
