Clare Balding shortlisted for the Audiobook of the Year Award

Clare Balding’s bestselling memoir Walking Home: My Family and Other Rambles has been shortlisted for Audiobook of the Year 2014 at National Book Awards.

Having caught the walking bug during her popular Radio 4 series ‘Ramblings’, Clare has covered at least fifteen hundred miles of footpaths, and in Walking Home she shares her love of walking with her family. Published in September, Clare’s memoir is the charming story of paths and people, of discovering the glories of Britain and Ireland, of (mis)adventures with the family, and ultimately Clare’s story of Walking Home.

This year, Clare finds herself on a shortlist of five, alongside David William’s Awful Auntie, Nina Stibbe’s Man at the Helm, Stephen Fry’s More Fool Me and David Mitchell’s The Bone Clocks.

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on 26th November.
