Margherita Taylor


Margherita is a multitalented presenter and one of the best-loved faces and voices on British Radio and TV.

Margherita began her TV career by hosting shows such as Electric Circus, The Ozone and Top of The Pops for the BBC as well as Train To Win Junior Gladiators and Heartland for ITV. She then moved on to present T4 Sunday, Channel 4’s hugely popular cult youth strand alongside her ‘on screen husband’ Dermot O’Leary. Since then Margherita has been a contributor for The One Show, ITV’s This Morning, Good Morning Britain, Sky Arts and Sky News. She has recently has joined the BBC daytime team hosting regular slots for BBC1’s Countryfile Diaries and BBC2’s Escape To The Country.

Alongside her busy TV career, Margherita has been a hugely successful radio presenter. She spent almost two decades at Capital FM and during her time there also began working at Capital’s sister station Classic FM, where she has been hosting Smooth Classics for 10 years.

In 2012 she moved from Capital to Heart and in 2017, as she looks ahead to her 25th year in Radio, she is very excited to have joined Smooth Radio where she now hosts her Sunday afternoon show from 2-6pm as well as continuing to present on Classic FM.

Her radio and TV work has seen her host a myriad of Live events and concerts including, Party in the Park in London’s Hyde Park with an audience of a hundred thousand people, Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall, Music for Youth Schools Proms and Music Teacher Awards for Excellence.

Hear Margherita on Classic FM, weeknights from 10pm – 1am and Smooth Radio Sunday’s 2-6pm.
