Client Accountant
Location: Great Portland Street, London (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Reports To: Head of Transactional Finance

Role Purpose
As a Client Accountant, you will support the Entertainment, Literary, Social, and Sports divisions. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain accurate client financial records, ensure timely invoicing and collection of income, process payments, reconcile client bank accounts, and resolve client queries.
Key Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively within a team of three Client Accountants, reporting to the Head of Transactional Finance.
• Raise commercial invoices and credit notes on behalf of clients using Paprika on a daily basis.
• Assist in the execution of the weekly client payment run, including: - Preparing remittance advices. - Deducting commission. - Submitting payments for processing.
• Reconcile client bank accounts daily and allocate receipts in preparation for payment runs.
• Manage and follow up on outstanding debt to ensure timely collection in line with agreed credit terms.
• Raise client expense recharges as required using Paprika and Exchequer.
• Provide monthly financial statements to client accountants, including all sales and commission invoice records.
• Complete new supplier/client forms and manage their setup in internal systems.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and managers.
• Provide cover and support for team members during leave and as required for ad hoc projects.

• Strong understanding of financial and reporting systems.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business.
• Resilient, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Solid understanding of VAT principles.
• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables).
