Overview
YMU Studios is looking for an innovative and highly creative Social Media & Content Manager to take a personal brand to the next level.
Based in London with YMU Studios, you’ll work closely with the client and their team to continue producing best-in-class content that inspires, informs, and connects with the audience. This is a pivotal role in shaping one of the UK’s most respected voices in leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal growth, across social, digital, and live platforms.
We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Capture
- Take ownership of all content creation for Instagram and LinkedIn, including filming, editing, and publishing.
- Attend corporate events, speaking engagements, and public appearances to capture behind-the-scenes content, BTS photos and videos, and create story-driven narratives.
- Regularly film content for social formats.
Collaborate with the client and video editors to brief, storyboard, and shoot content that aligns with the evolving strategy.
- Channel Management & Strategy
- Manage publishing schedules across Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, ensuring consistent, high-quality posting cadence (7+ posts/week).
- Own and manage the content calendar to plan and execute posts.
- Adapt and refine content pillars to ensure alignment with the client’s evolving brand and audience.
Ensure that the tone, quality, and aesthetic of all content remains consistent and on-brand across platforms.
- Social Engagement & Growth
- Actively respond to comments and direct messages in the client’s voice to engage the community and boost reach.
- Identify engagement opportunities, trends, and collaborations to help further grow the client’s community.
Monitor platform performance, gather insights, and use analytics to optimise content strategy.
- Stakeholder & Department Liaison
- Serve as the main point of contact between YMU Studios, the client’s management team, commercial partners, and internal departments.
- Work closely with commercial, events, and PR teams to surface opportunities for both reactive and evergreen content.
Ensure the client’s social content is seamlessly integrated with live events, commercial activations, and other key moments.
- Ideation & Execution
- Lead regular content strategy sessions to propose new ideas and content formats for social channels.
- Oversee the scripting and planning of all social posts, ensuring each piece of content is aligned with the client’s voice and values.
Collaborate with external collaborators for joint content creation, leveraging partnerships to elevate the client’s reach.
Key Attributes
- A natural storyteller with a strong understanding of tone, format, and structure for LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Confident with on-the-go filming and creating content with iPhone or similar equipment.
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple content streams and meet deadlines consistently.
- Able to reflect the client’s voice, values, and personal brand across all platforms.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with the flexibility to adapt quickly.
- Passionate about leadership, personal growth, and delivering high-quality content that resonates with audiences.
Essential Experience
- 3+ years of experience in social media or content creation, ideally in the personal brand, talent, or influencer space.
- Strong skills in filming, editing, and creating engaging content for social platforms.
- A deep understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn, their algorithms, and the best practices for engagement.
- Proven track record of growing and engaging a social media community with strategic, value-driven content.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (marketing, events, PR, etc.) to align content with broader goals.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
Bonus Skills (Not Essential)
- Experience with Substack or newsletter content strategy.
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools like Planable, Buffer, or Hootsuite.
- Background in media, events, or live production.
A network of content collaborators or creators for potential partnerships.
