Job Title: Junior Social Media Manager

About Happy Place
Happy Place is a fast-growing brand created by Fearne Cotton. Through our podcast, festivals, books, marketplace, and digital content, we aim to help people connect with themselves and others in meaningful ways. We're growing fast and looking for someone passionate, creative, and organised to join our dynamic digital team.

The Role
We’re looking for a Junior Social Media Manager with a flair for storytelling, a sharp eye for content trends, and a genuine understanding of the Happy Place tone. You’ll work closely with our Social Media Lead to create thoughtful, inspiring, and engaging content across all platforms: from podcast moments to festival highlights, brand partnerships to wellbeing tips.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone ready to step up and take ownership of our day-to-day social media presence, while learning and growing within a collaborative, positive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (Posts & Shorts), Facebook, and any emerging platforms
  • Edit short-form video clips from podcast episodes to live events, and original content for Reels and TikTok
  • Capture and create phone-shot content where relevant to support the social media lead with assets for partnerships, collaborations and marketing
  • Write compelling copy that reflects the Happy Place tone: warm, thoughtful, uplifting
  • Monitor trends and contribute fresh ideas for content that feels relevant and true to the brand
  • Engage with the community: replying to comments, DMs, and supporting digital conversations
  • Collaborate with the wider team (podcast, production, partnerships, events) to amplify campaigns and launches
  • Support in reporting on performance metrics and insights
  • Help maintain a content calendar that aligns with brand priorities and key moments throughout the year
  • Help create and curate newsletter content that provides value to our readers

You’ll Need to Have…

  • 2+ years experience managing social media for a brand, creator, or content platform
  • Confidence using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools to edit content for socials
  • A strong understanding of short-form video, social trends, and platform algorithms
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a natural, conversational tone
  • A proactive, positive attitude - you enjoy problem-solving and getting stuck in
  • A genuine interest in wellness, culture, creativity, and the Happy Place mission

Location: Central London office and will be required in the office 3-4 days a week, unless needed on location
