Senior Partnerships Manager (Live Events) – Maternity Cover

Location: Great Portland Street, London

Working in the office 3 days per week.

Reports to: Head of Live Events + Head of Partnerships

Team Overview: You will be working within the Live Events Team at YMU delivering and managing commercial partnerships for YMU’s live events portfolio including festivals, tours, and special events.

Job Purpose: The role is responsible for proactively securing brand partners, sponsors, and exhibitors for YMU’s talent led live event projects, including managing event sponsors through the full event cycle whilst also supporting the wider YMU commercial team for brand partnerships across the roster.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the management and growth of relationships with key strategic partners across a portfolio of live event projects to drive revenue and exceed targets.

· Act as the primary senior point of contact, building strong, long-term partnerships that drive repeat business and increased investment.

· Identify opportunities to deepen partner engagement through new activations and formats to align with wider strategies, audience engagement, and brand/talent positioning.

· Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that align with the commercial and strategic priorities of the live division, proactively targeting high-value brands with tailored outreach to secure new partnerships.

· Lead commercial negotiations with partners, structuring agreements, packages, pricing, deliverables, and terms of agreements.

· Oversee the full lifecycle of event partnerships, from initial sale through to the execution and post-event evaluation, ensuring these are delivered to a high-standard and reflective of the talent.

· Collaborate with internal teams to share partnership concepts that attract new revenue streams and ensure all agreements are compliant and commercially sound.

· Working alongside talent managers/brand managers to guide on live event brand strategies.

· Support the development of sales materials, activation plans, and event propositions.

· Provide regular reporting and insights on partnerships.

· Supporting the YMU commercial team across both proactive outreach and brief led enquiries where the business requires, joining commercial team meetings where appropriate.

· Line manage and mentor executive-level team member, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

 

Person Specification:

· Over 5 years experience in selling sponsorship and securing partners for live events and delivering against revenue targets.

· Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.

· Strong pipeline management, forecasting, written, and numeracy skills.

· Highly motivated with strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.

· Proactive and forward-thinking approach, with excellent attention to detail.

· Commercially astute and strategic, tracking financial performance against objectives.
