Group Overview: A leading management and professional services company based out of the UK and US, YMU provides a portfolio of services to a wide range of clients consisting of leaders in entertainment, film, music, radio, television and sport, including athletes, authors, digital influencers, media rights holders, musicians, producers, TV personalities and voiceover artists.

Job Purpose: This senior-level position requires proven leadership, excellent commercial judgment, and the ability to operate autonomously. As a Senior Talent Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a roster of high-profile talent, driving strategic planning and execution, and leading commercial negotiations. You will be expected to act as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams, often without requiring senior oversight. This role also includes line management responsibilities and requires strong motivation, team morale leadership, and a solutions-focused mindset—especially when navigating crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Lead the day-to-day management of a client portfolio, often acting as lead contact on key accounts.
  • Deliver strategic client plans and ensure exceptional delivery across all campaigns, content, and engagements.
  • Handle complex client scenarios with minimal oversight, escalating only when necessary.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Contracts & Commercial Strategy

  • Lead on contract negotiations, often independently delivering six-figure+ deals for clients.
  • Understand all key contractual terms and confidently advise clients and internal teams.
  • Take ownership of invoicing and payment workflows in coordination with finance and legal teams.
  • Proactively flag and mitigate conflicts of interest.

Team Leadership & Crisis Management

  • Line manage Talent Managers and Assistant Talent Managers; set goals and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Take the lead in motivating team culture and work ethic, especially under pressure.
  • Able to calmly navigate client or commercial crises with support from Directors as needed.
