Having met on the set of BBC children’s drama Byker Grove, Ant and Dec soon became firm friends in real life. After a brief stint as pop stars with 13 Top 40 hit singles, they have gone on to become the UK’s most successful presenters, hosting shows such as The BRITS, Pop Idol, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Britain’s Got Talent, and Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win for ITV. Across their career, Ant and Dec have won over 40 National Television Awards (including Most Popular Entertainment Presenters for 21 years running),19 BAFTA Awards, and have been recognised with countless other industry accolades. The duo have been ambassadors for The Prince’s Trust for over 20 years, hosting The Prince’s Trust Awards and launching their Making it in Media course in 2021. More recently, Ant & Dec have been creating and developing innovative entertainment formats across genres and platforms through their own creative business Mitre Studios. These formats include, DNA Journey, Limitless Win, In For A Penny, The Story of SM:TV Live and ITV’s family entertainment blockbuster Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
