Poppy writes fiction and non-fiction for children and parents. She's written over 25 books and has sold over 400,000 copies, including bestsellers Don't Worry, Be Happy and You're a Star, and her books have been translated into eight languages. She has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Chichester, for which she won the Kate Betts Memorial Prize. Her illustrated activity book, The Extraordinary Book That Makes You Feel Happy was awarded Children’s Book of the Year: Younger Non-Fiction at The Week Junior Book Awards 2023. Poppy specialises in writing about mental health and loves the challenge of making the topic engaging and accessible across genres and age ranges. Poppy's debut picture book, The Pumpkin Seed, will be published by Nosy Crow and she's currently working on the next instalment of the hugely popular monster mental health series.
