A huge congratulations to Dani Chavez, who has recently been promoted to the position of Senior Marketing Manager at YMU Music.
Based in Los Angeles, Chavez has spearheaded campaigns for over a dozen acts including international DJ, Valentino Khan, South African prodigy Lloyiso, and multi-platinum rapper, Yung Gravy, whose hit, “Betty (Get Money)”, took 2022 by storm.
Additional artists she works with include Chet Faker, Sullivan King, Passion Pit, 3LAU, and 4B.
Previously, she served as the Head of Digital at Ultra Records. In her time there, she oversaw releases from SOFI TUKKER, Icona Pop, NGHTMRE, Steve Aoki, Anabel Englund and more, including the global rollout of Black Coffee’s Grammy award-winning album, ‘Subconsciously’.
She also worked for hip-hop podcaster Reggie Ossé (also known as Combat Jack) and at Shelter PR, a bicoastal personal public relations firm for the likes of Jeff Goldblum and Hilary Swank. A graduate from NYU, she spent her college years at A-Trak & Nick Catchdubs’ Fool’s Gold Records in Brooklyn where she first fell in love with dance music.
“At YMU I’ve been able to advocate for artists in a way I never have before. Helping them achieve their vision in everything they do – whether that’s merchandise designs, album rollouts, or brand partnerships – is my greatest joy,” Chavez states, “I’m excited to continue doing so and growing at the company.”
“In the year since Dani joined us, she has proven to be an exceptional marketing executive and a hugely important member of our team,” adds Anthony Rodol, YMU Music Managing Director for the US, “This promotion is recognition of the key role she now plays at YMU.”
